What we collect

  • Your email address, to send sign-in links and codes and keep you signed in.
  • If you sign in with Google: Google shares your name, email address, and profile picture with modmypack™, and we store them with your account along with the sign-in tokens Google issues for it.
  • Your email preference: whether you agreed to new-design emails, when, from which page, and the country your connection came from (used to decide how we ask).
  • Download history: which designs you downloaded and when.
  • Category notifications: which design categories you asked to hear about with “Notify me”, and whether you said you’d buy a ready-made printed set, and when.
  • Anonymous usage statistics from Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies.
  • Fit reports: if you report how a design fit, the organizer, slides and result you picked (shown publicly only as totals, after I review it) and your optional note (seen only by me).
  • Build photos: photos you send of a finished build, re-saved without their camera data (no GPS location), with your caption. Shown publicly without your name once approved; you can delete them from your account page.
  • Feedback: messages you send me with “Send feedback”, with the page you came from. Only I see them, and I may reply by email.
  • Mod requests and votes: ideas you suggest (shown publicly, without your name, once approved) and which ideas you upvoted.
  • Emails sent: which announcement emails you were sent (welcome, a new design in a category you follow, a design update) and when, so nobody gets the same one twice.
  • Anonymous click counts: which buttons and links get used (for example a parts link, a download, or a video play), with the page they were on. No cookies, no account, and no IP address are stored with them.

Sign-in rate limits store keyed hashes of email and IP addresses, never the raw values, and those entries are deleted after about two hours, except the daily count of sign-in emails per address, which is deleted about two hours after its day (UTC) ends. If you request a sign-in link but never use it, that request (your email and your email preference) is deleted after about a day. The sign-in link and code expire after 15 minutes. When you choose Google, a cookie holding your email-preference choice lasts at most 10 minutes and is deleted when you finish signing in.

Who processes it

Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), and Resend (email delivery). If you choose to sign in with Google, Google handles that sign-in. We never sell your data.

Your choices

Every new-design email has a one-click unsubscribe link. You can change your email preference, sign out, or delete your account at any time from the account page.

Deleting your account

Deleting closes your account straight away: you’re signed out everywhere, emails stop, and your ideas, build photos, fit reports and votes are hidden from the site. For 30 days nothing is erased, so if you change your mind you can sign in again and everything comes back (emails stay off until you turn them on).

After 30 days, what identifies you is erased for good: your email, name, profile picture, Google sign-in link, build photos, fit-report notes, feedback messages and notify lists. What remains has nothing that leads back to you: which designs were downloaded, how fits were rated, ideas on the request board and votes. We also keep a one-way fingerprint of your email address (it can’t be turned back into the address) so we can spot an address that returns to post spam. Your address is never emailed again after you delete.
